Earlier, she used to like writing poetry and stories along with reading voraciously. On several occasions, Goddard used to spend the entire summer doing nothing except reading novels. Eventually, she was able to produce 2 adult novels after 2 years. When Goddard read one of the stories told by her teacher to her children, she got the idea of an adult novel. The other personalities who influenced the life of author Goddard include her 3rd grade teacher. All that was passed to Goddard, which she accepted happily. Goddard’s mother had maintained bookshelves that were filled with numerous books that she used to read as a girl. This also came combined with the interest in reading interesting stories. This helped her to draw the setting for a number of her stories.įrom a very early age, Goddard had the desire to write her own stories. Later, Goddard stayed in Oregon for a brief period. The region in which she used to live was once considered very rich because of the oil reserves underground. Goddard spent her initial years growing up in a tiny town located in East Texas. As of today, author Goddard resides in Minnesota along with her children and husband.

Goddard did what her heart suggested her and the rest they say is history. Later, she thought of using this opportunity to fulfill lifelong dream of becoming a full time writer. Author Goddard left her job to look after children and take care of their home schooling. She has worked in high level sales of a software company for many years. She completed her graduation from the State University of North Texas and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in the subject of Computer Science. Author Goddard is a seventh generation Texan.
